Pours a dark, but clear, garnet with a thin, off-white head. The aroma has a nice blend of fresh hops, cocoa and whole grain malt. A smooth, refreshing body though too thin for the style. Light and crisp flavors heavily influence the entire profile. Coffee and chocolate lay underneath piney, herbal hop notes and malt comprised of nuts and whole grains. Surprisingly bitter in the finish, even though it shouldn't be so surprising. This is a nice session porter with good flavors. However, it's a little too hoppy and thin to rank among the those with more class.

330ml bottle. Light body and soft carbonation. Pours dark brown, a bit hazy, with tan head, thin and persistant. Some lacing. Taste is caramel, some roasty malt and herbal. Non a typical porter, but tasty anyway.

Bottle, 33 cl. Clear deep reddish brown rather than black with a beige head. Aroma is malty and roasted. Taste is medium sweet, hard roasted malt, faibt notes of licorice, leading to a long, bitter finish, tingling the tongue.

Opaque with a small creamy head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa and light char. Flavor is similar, with some sweet pecan added. Medium body is smooth and roasty-dryish.

330 ml bottle aquired in Karlsruhe, Germany. Is a deep red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt.The taste is sweet and very malty, with a light bitter roastiness. Palate is smooth and ending is somewhat dry.

33cl bottle Brown colour with a creamy, frothy and good lasting tan head. Aroma is slightly toasty, sweet and caramelish. Flavour has notes of caramel, toasted malts, candy sugar and a final moderate bittery. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.

Intensiv malziger und hintergründig bitterer Antrunk. Milde Herbe im Mittelteil, das Malz ist ersteinmal im Hintergrund geparkt. Dann wieder malziger, dabei weicher als zuvor, Herbe und Bitterkeit spielen weiterhin eine Rolle. Im Abgang eine Mischung aus herben und malzigen Noten, positiv trocken. 9/10/10/10/12/10

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2012 33cl. bottle It pours a clear dark brown liquid with a medium thinly lasting light tan head and no lacing. Caramelly and toasted hints along with fruit and herbal notes. Medium bodied. A nice and different porter.

Clear brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty, cream, alcohol scent. Moussy mouthfeel, malty cream taste. Low bitterness, mineral aftertaste.

From a bottle at GBF 2011. Clear deep chestnut, medium beige head. Sugary and caramelly malt aroma with some herbal hops. Sweet with low bitterness.
