2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BillKismet (2761) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 8, 2012
Light tan body with ring of head. Light wheat fields and a touch of apple in the nose. Thinnish body, light grassiness, flat. Rather boring. The one nice attribute is that the alcohol is well masked. However, I wish this would have a bit more boldness in the malt body and yeast.

330ml bottle, Cafe Rose Red, Brugge, 15/02/12 (51 Euro bottle of Brunch Weasel, anyone?). Clear golden with a subsiding swirl of foam. Gelatinous orange, gooseberry, pineapple and vanilla pod aroma. Soft jellied fruit, botanicals, mild hop dry out, lick of husk. Nice balanced, dryish tripel.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scrapersnbeer (461) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Believe this matches up. Light yellow hazy color, like pulpy lemon juice. Moderate head and lace. Aroma of spice, citrus, and especially yeast. Tastes very much of champagne, especially on finish. Dry-sweet and bitter all the way. Not heavy, but it’s a handful. NOT a tripel. Imported by ’Twelve Percent,’ Brooklyn.

On tap at Jacs. Hazy golden yellow-tan. Big steady white head. Significantly hoppier and drier than most Tripels, still has a sweet sugary backbone though. Maybe not as cloying as some examples. Very drinkable, well done.
