Bottle sampled at Monks café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a shady pale golden colour with a rich white foam. Lemon-zest, almond-paste, over-riped oranges and mild spicy alcohol in the background. Nearly full-bodied with notes of pale malts, spicy hops, apricots, candid-sugar, over-riped oranges, mild honey and peppery alcohol. Rather sweet finish of over-riped oranges, almond-paste and apricots. Decent Tripel.

This slightly cloudy orange golden brew sits under an enormous head of mixed bubbles. Strong florals and some mineral notes fill the nose. This is a bracingly bitter beer, esp. considering the style. I have had IPAs that are not this bitter, which is fine (both in this case and in the case of the IPA). The texture is medium to full bodied but w/ a soft cushion of vigorous carbonation that keeps things light and creamy. I have not drank it in a while but something about this recalls Jolly Pumpkin Oro de Calabaza. It is possible that this is not intentional, but there is a sort of wild, woody character to the bitterness than makes me think there might be something interesting going on on w/ the yeast. This is one of those beers that gets better throughout the glass. If you rated from a small sample, you owe it to yourself to try a full glass.

Draft. Pours a hazy copper body with hints of bruin and a large white head with strong retention. light hazy fruit tones dry and floral with spruce, dry and dusty hop tones. Belgian yeast, candied sugars hint so pear and citrus. Boozy strong fruit sweetness round this out.
