draft at Blue Monk, dark cola colored pour, no head, no carbonation. red wine aspects in the nose, vinous, light sherry notes too. flavors of red wine, sweet rich malts, I suppose sauternes, raisins, figs. Medium mouthfeel in terms of weight, not an active mouthfeel. OK

7/IX/13 - 75cl bottle @ Tuinfeest Heeren van Liedekercke - BB: n/a (2013-837) Thanks to Kris for sharing today’s beers!
Clear red brown beer, creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, mocha, dark chocolate, sweet, bit sourish, grapes and raisins. MF: lots of carbon, medium to full body. Taste: chocolate, bitter touch, mocha, caramel, raisins, dried fruits, bit woody. Aftertaste: sourish touch, alcohol, little sweet, burnt touch, tannins, dried fruits, caramel, unpleasant bitter ending. One of the better experiments in this series, if you ask me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled at the Leiderkerke Beer Festival. Dark brown, nearly black, with a fine, low head. Malty nose, caramel, stewed furits. Some wood and wine, but not much. Sweet, spicy, fruity flavor, chocolate, caramel,. Not so much barrel taste. Needed to be longer on wood, I suppose.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Brew No 3 from 2013. Limited Edition of 1932 bottles. Aroma is dark fruit notes, soft wood, sweet wine notes from the Sauternes and dusty yeast. Taste is big on the dark fruit notes and sweetness from the Sauternes along with soft wood, dusty yeast, dried fruit, light earthiness and caramel. Body is medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation and lots of sugary stickiness. The alcohol starts to kick in here as well. Finishes with more dark fruit notes, notes of Sauternes, light wet wood notes, soft earthiness, yeast and caramel.
