Poured from a gift bomber into a snifter a darkest brown with a strong tall tan head. Aroma of sherry booze is strong. Flavor of dark alcohol laden fruits complex with Belgian yeast dominance. Overall an excellent brew & despite the high price tag would happily purchase.

6/4/13. Bottle bought and cracked for my birthday! Happy birthday to me! 750mL bottle from Grassroots. Deep ruby brown pour with a nice khaki head that sticks around and laces alright. I didnít even know what Armagnac was, but we had 7 different ones of these BA Hof Ten Dormaal brews at work and I more or less picked the highest rated one. After looking up Armagnac, Iím pretty stoked. French brandy? Iím down. Rich brandy/cognac/armagnac aroma - deep toffee, some sweet grape, burnt caramel - with bits of dark fruit and a hint of booze. Those all shine through in the flavor as well with a touch of roast, bready yeastiness, and lingering sweetness. I didnít really know what to expect, but I ended up really liking this!
