A nice enough dark belgian strong aged in cognac like barrels...but if memory serves, these are upwards of $30 per 750, and after trying this one so graciously provided by a friend, i would not spend half of what these cost on the others. Belgian spicy yeast and brown sugar comingle with the barrel. High ccarbonation covers tha abv pretty damn well. Good, just not elite, which is how it is priced

750 ml bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere. Pours a dark ruby colour with a creamy white head. Aroma of cognac, lovely oaky notes and vanilla. Rich deep flavour of malts, bread, oak, vanilla, cognac, red berries, earth and caramel. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a sweet, lingering, vanilla finish. Elegant.

Pours clear dark red color with a small lasting head. Aroma is quite nice and complex, ripe fruits, caramel, sugar and dark berries. Flavor of ripe fruits, dark berries, caramel malts and sugar, mild yeast notes also. Mildly sourish palate, sweet finish. Very nice.

Poured from a gift bomber into a snifter a darkest brown with a strong tall tan head. Aroma of sherry booze is strong. Flavor of dark alcohol laden fruits complex with Belgian yeast dominance. Overall an excellent brew & despite the high price tag would happily purchase.

From a 75 cl bottle shared with Ryan. Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a thick, but quickly dissipating head, leaving no trace. Cognac nose. Flavors of berries, red wine, oak and plenty of alcohol. Effervescent mouthfeel. Short slightly bitter finish.
