Aroma is mainly peat, coal, smoked, maybe somewhere something fruity.
Poured dark brown with a light brown head.
Taste had some boozy sweetness, after filtering the smoke and ash. Dark fruit.
Medium mouthfeel and ashy sweet finish.

Bottle shared by Nick, thanks! Pours a murky diarrhea like brown with a massive light brown head, not very pretty. Aroma is very peaty, smoke, caramel, and some fruitiness. Others pointed out smell of cardboard, and i would agree. Taste is overpowering peat, smoke, damp old wood, figs, molasses, and caramel maltiness. Sticky finish, peat and smoke infect the palate long after sip has been consumed. This was a tough one... Not my thing.

at my home with yves dark amber brown colored body with an off white head and a spicy smoked malt aroma a spicy malt grain hoppy bitter taste with a bitter alcholic finish

Bottle shared with Wim. Brown coloured beer with small brownish head and no carbonation. Smoked aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is rather smokey. Nice one.

Bottle. The cork exploded when the cage was opened. The pour is a dark carmel with a lot of head. The taste is all smoke/ash. Very carbonated and nit a bad drink

75 cl bottle from Dranken Geers, so perfectly sourced, then taken back to the UK in a single transit and cellared correctly for 8 weeks. Now I know that any beer that is (1) strong, (2) barrel aged, (3) Belgian and (4) got Islay whiskey in it is pre-programmed to wow US raters but PLEEZ. This is a barley wine lite that got poured down a rusty metal drain pipe and was then mistakenly bottled by an over-enthusiastic or inadequately briefed assistant. Truly vile. Nice try. Failed. Move on.

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Dark coppery pour with a tall, delicate, fluffy tan head. Aroma is laden with peat and iodine from the Islay whisky. There’s some fruitiness beneath that, however. Taste is strong peat, iodine, dark fruit, light woody notes and faint yeast. The whisky is dominant here as well. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more peat, iodine, caramel, notes, dark fruit, malt and wood. I can imagine those not fond of Islay whisky will be put off by this.

Bottle at Torst with a bunch of guys that apparently all have shitty palates. Pours deep amber with a beige head. Big scotch, peat, and wood. Very in your face, with lighter sweetness, and faint yeasty notes. Good stuff.

Bottle courtesy of Clockwork, shared with the RB group at Torst. Pours a deep, dark brown body with off-white head. Aroma is oak, bourbon, soft cocoa and dark fruit. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of oak, vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit, booze, and spice.

Bottle at Tørst with Max, Ramy, GT & Whitney, Andy, Pearl, James, J-Dad, blipp and Ashley. Pours a hazy to muddy amber brown with a medium to large sized tanned head. Big peat smoke on the nose, chewy peat. Sweet and full of peat and smoke. Sweet and tangy peat. Weird and rubbery.
