4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange copper with a nice beige head and a cognac and toffee aroma. There is a cognac infused caramel malt flavor with a slightly sweet peach finish. Nicely aged with good oak flavor. This beer is grossly underrated.

750 c&c from Wine and Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy orange/brown with a fluffy beige head. Aroma is mild fruit with some yeast/spice. Med body. Flavor is light pitted fruit and brandy - sort of like brandied peaches. Gets a little oaky, finishing 98% dry with some fun heat.

750 ml bottle - pours cloudy orange with floating yeast, soapy off-white head. Supersweet smell , aroma of hiney, white sweet wine, earthy raw basis. Full body with warm alcohol and too much sweetness - not balanced...

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at itap Chesterfield. Looks like cheap cognac, still, no head, can see through it. Aroma is not distinct alcohol barrel, would not be able to tell its actually cognac, not good cognac anyway. Kind of sweet. Flavor is a syrupy mess, no carbonation. Sweet and alcohol. Happy I wasn’t a sucker that dropped money on a bottle of this.

Bottle. I’m not sure why such negative reviews, this is actually pretty good. Have hopheads forgotten how to taste beer that isn’t kick you in the teeth bitter? Pours a hazy golden light orange with a thin white fizzy head. Pleasant caramel, wet grain, and cognac aroma. Thick sticky palate. Tastes of caramel, cereal grain, light orange, and strong cognac with cognac flavors dominating the finish and lingering long after a sip. It’s really quite good.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Draft at Avenue Pub. Copper pour with no head. Aroma of cognac and cheap wine. Sweet flavor with old wine taste. Just awful. Seems like an old keg. Thin mouthfeel. If I had a drain...waste of money...

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Flat murky amber pour. A really excellent nose. Tons of vanilla and wood, great sweetness of caramel and fruit, and a nice brandy note. Particularly heavy on the dark fruits. The flavor is almost the complete opposite. Harsh charred wood flavor, iced tea, and overall just very astringent. Quite alcoholic and hot, too.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at an rsbls tasting. Well carbonated golden and hazy. Well hopped aroma with yeast and fruit. Alcohol, too. Fruit is tasted first and is complex. Plenty of pale malts. Alcohol gets in the way. Tasty.
