Orange golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, grappa, marc and fruits. Quite alcoholic. Sweet malty flavour, sweet alcohol, grappa. Alcoholic grappa finish.

At BBF. Pale-orange colour with little white head. Fruity aroma, some grappa too. Malty, alcoholic taste, a little sweet and some vanilla.

Draft at ChurchKey in Washington DC. Cloudy gilden color, fluffy white head. Aroma of boozy vanilla, straw. Taste is fruity, boozy, citrus. One if the few beers I’ve seen in grappa barrels, Toccalmatto is the other that comes to mind. This one works well enough.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy apricot pour. Nose and flavor bring big grappa, sweet white wine, nectar fruit, booze. Fine, but one dimensional and quite sweet.

Sweet granola taste. Very light aroma. Smooth and malty. Very low carbonation. Hardly any bitterness.

Tap. Pours clear gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is pears, green grapes, cookie and cereal malts, light spicy and grassy hops, and faint herbs. Flavor is sweet, bready malts forward with light fruit esters, grassy and citrus hops, and just a touch of sour; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Tap at Max’s Taphouse. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is fruity esters, cereal and meal malt with spicy and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light sour fruity esters, sweaty socks, and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

75cl, limited to 2148 bottles, new exclusive brew Anno 2012, from Willems Grobbendonk, complex brew, alcoholic/sweet and slightly fruity/spicy, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, small head, good brew, yet expensive!

Draught @ Kulminator, Antwerp. Blond coloured beer with practically no carbonation, rather dence look with a dence medium white head. Light hint of alcohol grappy touched aroma. Full light creamy palate. Finish is nicely balanced, sweet yeasty vanilla hinted with a longer sweet alcoholic grappa (if only slight) toched taste. Subtile but decent.

Clear orange beer, small layer of creamy bubble, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, peaches, pineapple, bit yeasty, some grapes, little spicy. Mf: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, quite some yeast, fruity touch, peaches. Aftertaste: bit grassy, yeast, fruity, alcohol.
