Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer & Beyond. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear light golden with no head. Very sweet aroma, sugary and syrupy, notes of apricot and liqueur. Quite sweet flavor, syrupy, boozy but doesn’t feel as 12% abv, notes of apple and tart, kind of apricot liqueur, funky. Soft carbonation, medium-bodied.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear golden with a white head. Sourish aroma with fruits, wine, candy, wood, and a bit of spiciness. Sourish and slightly sweetish flavor, fruity, vinous, with wood, mild spiciness, and an alcoholic note in a dry finish. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff, quite easy-drinking for 12%.

CONCLUSION : un navet pur et simple.

Orange without much carbonation. Smells like gueuze. Red wine and grapes dominate first, then comes acidity which reminds of a good gueuze. The finish is dry white wine, chardonnay, mixed with gueuze. Very interesting beer.

Bouteille(RBESG 2014):Pale golden to golden, small foamy layer; dried fruits, vinous traces and some caramel in the sourish nose, solid sour-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering sourish and frujty finish, caramelly, too, traces of warming alcohol detectable. Really good…

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 09/08/2014 Moncada Brewery. Clouded orange / onion skin coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is tart fruit, splash of acid, grainy. Flavour is grapes, onion, cereal and some acid. Palate is slightly puckering acid, high carbonation. Nice apple tart.
