Poured from bottle 3/2008. Aroma of malt, caramel, raisin. Mahogany color, rocky tan head. Malt and fruit in the flavor, with brown sugar and bitterness in aftertaste. Slightly oily feel in palate. Flavors blended well at finish. Not bad.

Jul 4, 2008 Bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Bronze color with almost no head. Nutty, roasted malt aroma. Bitter roasted malt taste. Thin body.

Jul 4, 2008 Draught at The Belgian Bar in Rotorua (New Zealand) - a surprise ’special’. A light brown with a large foamy head that laced very well. A little metallic on the nose with a touch of chocolate. A very dry palate, with some roasted coffee flavours. A couple of late night drinks by myself on a work trip - it did the trick.

Jun 29, 2008 Pours a dark reddish-brown colour. Huge frothy brown head. Aroma is malty and sweet, but mouthfeel is light and creamy. Taste is somewhate metallicy with lots of caramel and a firm hop finish.

Jun 15, 2008 Nice aroma, very simple taste with very slight hint of caramel and nut, though this is very slight. smooth with a bit of bitterness as it warms. Great beer, especially in the summer.
