doublebock (163), USA May 10, 2005 Good cross behind double bock and amber. Malty aroma from the get go. Malty but not overwhelming. Clean finish no aftertaste. Wish the actual hofbrauhouse served this beer regularly PhillyBeer2112 (1861), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jun 26, 2001 mmm, wonderfully toasty and toffeeish.
Love that malt flavor. Delectable
and a perfect match for savory foods.
Nice depth to the flavor. obxdude10 (1390), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 29, 2007 This is a fantastic maibock, amber in color with an orange hue, big & fluffy light tan head, aroma full of malts with hints of caramel, toffee & pine, velvetty-smooth body, very drinkable, lots of malt in the flavors with subtle notes of caramel, herbs & nuts, but it’s really the finish & aftertaste that makes this beer so great, very smooth, begs you to take another gulp, this is borderline addicting, very impressive beer
Prostman (1076), Pennsylvania, USA Mar 31, 2004 This beer poured a bright orange with a large white head. The aroma was bready and the taste was malty. The finish was somewhat sweet and made me want more. This was a great beer and one worth trying. One of the best in the style. mkobes (2039), somewhere, New Jersey, USA Oct 21, 2003 Very pleasant to drink. Nice creamy white head. Malty. Brown in color. Excellent maibock. Had it on tap at a friends house. Very good.
