Bottle 50cl, a clear golden beer with good head but low retention. Nose is grainy and vegetable like. Aroma is sweet malty with caramel and barley sugar notes. Hops is peppery and with a paper like bitterness, in the average but no more;

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, some spices and herbs as well as quite grassy and wooden hoppyness. Flavour is rather much the same in a pleasant malty balance. Ends malty and quite floral.

Pours a pale yellow colour with a large, thick, white head. Weak aroma of grainy malts and alcohol. Flavour of grainy malts, alcohol, honey and some herbal notes. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, rough, malty finish. Overall a rough Märzen.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. As Graf Toerring Barthelmarkt Bier. It’s a clear, golden one, a small, white head sits patiently on top. The aroma has a distinct dms touch at first, soon replaced by fruityness, pale malts and a hoppy touch. It’s medium bodied, dry and with an appropriate level of carbonation. There’s fruityness dominating the flavor, getting quite bitter towards the end. Still, I’m not convinced. It’s far from bad, but also quite uninteresting. 110318
