Small white head, some lace over metallic golden beer with lazy carbonation. Pale malts, bit creamy-vanilla, but also garden herbs. Very discreet. Very dry (certainly for an Export) initial taste, going over in grain and somewhat sweeter (very) pale malts. But every new sip brings out again a hoppy dryness to start. Maybe some artichoke flavour. Actually, this is quite balanced. Light to medium bodied, not empty, not watery, just - OK. Somebody ought ot go and tell them in Freising. The Export is the one that is a tad sweeter. The nice bitterness, that’s the Pilsener, the Kellerbier,... yes? In the mean time, I’m keeping this, OK!

500 ml bottle. 5.6%. BB 28/11/12. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Grainy malty aroma with hints of farmyard and grassy hops. Flavour is hops, mild bitterness, grainy malt and mild sweetness. Decent Helles.

500 ml bottle. Thanks Timo A.
Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma of weak grassy hops, wet paper and some buttery notes. Flavour of grassy hops, weak bready malts, subtle sweetness and some weak herbal notes. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Smooth malty finish with some bitterness. Quite an average Helles.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass is very zippy, nice head. Starts strong, quite moldy from the beginning, grasy. Modest hoppy-dry background. Finish spicy-grasy, a bit sourish. Nice beer!

Tap in Freising. Cloudy yellow-golden with a rocky cream head. Creamy malty nose, taste is only lightly sweet, not much malt but enough citrus. Simple with a watery, soft body, but it’s getting extra points from me today on account of the suddenly hot weather. Very faint hops, this is essentially a Zwickl.

Bottle. Clear gold color with no head. Grainy aroma with just a little bit of yeast-derived spiciness. Very light grainy taste with a sweet body. The most light bit of hops on the finish I could still actually detect. Nothing off about it, but nothing really going for it either.
