Growler. Cardboard, sweet booze, oak, fruity aroma. Clear golden with a small white head. Sweet woody malt, light alcohol, and mellow hop flavor. Full body, dry, light alcohol warmth.

Draft from Liquor Barn Louisville. Barley malt, and light alcohol aroma - a lot of cardboard aroma up front. Medium yellow with small head. Sweet corn syrup and barley malt flavor. Light alcohol finish. Not bad but quite a bit of oxidation in this sample.

A great drinking beer, I am surprised this is a doublebock. It's light in color and slightly hoppy at the finish, but the slightly higher alcohol content counteracts any bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Very sweet malty aroma. Looks like a helles with a thin white head. Very sweet malty flavour. At the pub they weren’t sure if this was a bock. I told them it looks and tastes like they they turned a Hofbrau helles into a bock.

Draft at Global Brew. A golden beer this has light haze. Thus beer offered some wheatiness and graininess. Hops were forward and were noble with light sulfur. I was surprised to find this was a doppelbock. Some breadiness. It was also a little hot from alcohol.

Tap in Cologne. Fairly clear, dark orange appearance with a tan head. Fairly burnt, a touch smoky, a touch boozy, grassy, toasty malty aroma. Rich creamy, toasty caramel, light fruity, toffee, quite sweet flavor.

Tap at Pizza Port OB. This is a doppel? Clear light to medium amber with a small eggshell head, down to a tattered film pretty quickly. Aroma of sweet light malts with a lightly fruity yeast, and paper. And a yinge of cracker. Flavor is sweet with candied golden raisins, moderate toasty cracker malt, a tinge of paper, light spice and alcohol. Medium body with low carbonation. I see why it isn’t rated amazingly, but I feel it deserves a little higher than my 3.1--I just can’t justify adding a point anywhere.
