Ho provato una birra ingiudicabile visto che era leggermente acida. Mal chiusa forse? Boh alla prossima bevuta giudicherò.

I’ve only had this from the tab at their home office. I wish I could find it here in the states. Their pilsner travels well. I suspect this one would too.

Tap at Miami Beach location. Dark brown with a bit if red. Clear. A head that is beige leaves some lacing. Toasty malts and very light hops. Thete really isn’t all that much going on here.

On draught at the Hofbrau Haus, Munich, April 2013. Brown color with a red hue. Lightly roasted aroma, and more roast in the flavor. Mild malt, but good flavor. A bit light on the palate.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml green bottle pours a dark amber color with quickly disappearing one-finger off-white head and a little lacing. Aroma is malt-forward: some dark fruits and bread. Taste is slightly sweet all the way through. Body is medium with average carbonation. Very easily drinkable and defintely German. Good, not too simple, but not one of the greats either.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Presentation: 11.2 oz. green bottle, served in a steidel.
Appearance: Develops a one finger head that goes down into a thin ring. It’s dark caramel colored.
Smell: The aroma es mostly of sweet malt, nothing else.
Taste: The malt sweetness is very dominant and present but not cloying.
Mouthfeel: It feels a bit watery and smooth. It has medium carbonation and it’s easy to drink because of the sweetness.
Overall: Complex enough so as to not be boring, but easy enough to drink so as to not discourage drinkers not accustomed to this type of beer. It manages to be very sweet but balanced, not overwhelming. A very well made brew.
