COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It has always been a part of Bavarian custom to celebrate in style - with family or friends over a good meal in a cosy and convivial atmosphere. To suit this kind of occasion, Hofbräu München offers a stylish and genuinely festive beer - Hofbräu Festbier. With an alcoholic content of around 6% volume, and its noble, aromatic flavour, it’s an ideal companion for special occasions.

Bottle at home. Aroma is grainy malt, straw and light grassy. Flavour is sweet malt with a light bittersweet finish. Alcohol a bit noticeable, did not expect that considering it’s relatively low ABV. Not a bad Helles, though a bit too sweet and boozy.

Aroma: a little honey, and that’s about it. Appearance: pretty light brown, clear, head large but not terribly stable. Taste: moderately sweet, just a bit bitter. Palate: body medium or below; carbonation above average; mouth feel mildly spicy; finish faintly sweet, a little bit corrosive on the teeth, and very sticky. Overall: feels more like a watered down Märzen. Not too bad, I could have a few in a pub, being preoccupied with the company and not paying much attention to the drink, but that’s about the limit of this beer.

0,5 l bottle. Pours out clear and dark golden. Mid white head. Malt with sourish notes on the nose. Taste is smooth malty, low sweetness, little bit grassy. Crisp. Mid grainy aftertaste with a low bitterness. Nice one, I enjoyed it a lot.
