GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 8, 2009 Bottle from the LCBO. Light bright golden with a large white head. Aroma is quite grassy and grainy, a but of sugar, some alcohol as it warms. Full mouthfeel, a bit sticky. Flavour is quite sweet to start, followed by wet cereal and dried grass, hints of overripe fruit. I enjoyed this at first, when it was fresh from the fridge and still quite cold, but it becomes less pleasant as it warms. A pretty poor Oktoberfest/Märzen - reminds me more of a strong lager from the former Eastern bloc. Nisse666 (313), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 8, 2009 Flaska 8 grader

Pours a light coloured body with initial significant foam. Aroma initially a bit repelling, but is normal after the bottle has been open, warmed up, and sampled somewhat. A bit of lace foam sits in the glass. Carbonation is deterimental, and adds to the drying out of the palate by the finish, and beyond in the aftertaste. Some malts, a hint of roast, some decent features. Still, all in all, 500 ml is too much, rarely have I said this about a German beer.
probstk (1007), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2009 500 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear deep golden with an ample white meringue.
Aroma: Grassy, peppery wet hay, some cereal/grain, pretty standard and not up to my expectations.
Palate: Medium body, fairly soft and sparse carbonation, smooth and a touch slick.
Flav.: Cereal/grain, a little grassy/peppery wet hay, a little cardboard, some biscuit/toast malts, a light vague sweet fruitiness reminiscent of a European Strong Lager; dry with a touch of bitterness.
Hmmm, would this taste better in a massive tent, sitting at a long table, surrounded by thousands of drunkards, music, roast chickens and general Bavarian atmosphere? Maybe. tramp55555 (42), Lisbon, Ohio, USA Oct 27, 2009 This beer is very different from any beer Ive had. It has a very nice color and aroma but tastes buttery sweet. Its as if they cooled the beer before the priming sugar could ferment completely. Still not too bad though. terrybail (331), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2009 Pours a pale yellow with a small white head looks like any plae lager you might come across
The aroma is grassy hay and again alot like a plae lager
The taste is dry and slightly bitter rather bland wait for it
Just like a pale lager
PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2009 Bottle. It’s golden yellow with a very tall frothy head. The aroma is quite grassy with lemon, hay, grain. It’s medium bodied. I taste bread and butter, more grass, lemon, grain, light sweet malt. The finish is neither long nor terribly short with some more butter and grain. Beer Snob (378), Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2009 Ewww.
Way too sweet and a nearly overpowering chemical mouthfeel. I know, I know, the Bavarian purity law forbids adjuncts, but damn if this doesn’t remind me of Molson Canadian.
Feh. Proof that Germans can also make crappy beer.
