Commercial Description:
The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Draught, Hofbrau Miami. Luminescent golden, clear and sparkly with cream-colored/ivory creamy head and lacing. Aromatic nose: fresh grain and nature aromas hearkening to autumnal forests and meadows. Quaffable palate. Clean, bright, and slightly herbal. Not too sweet. Feels a bit heavy and warming in spite of the quaffability. Solid, clean, refreshing. Prost to Hofbrau Miami for serving their beers as fresh as can possibly be.

Big white head does not last. Yellow body with vigourous carbonation. Peppery malty oily aroma with meaty notes. Dry-sweet grassy malty papery sulphury taste with toffee notes. Full-bodied. Slick mouthfeel. Dry mealy papery grassy aftertaste. Nice, if a bit strange. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

I’m not really sure why this one is getting low ratings... This was an excellent beer. This is a true Oktoberfest without all the nasty spices us Americans are used to... Wonderful beer... try for yourself.

Smell of water, corn and hops. Taste is much better, hint of citrus/fruit , hops, yeast but very light very thin, pretty ok, but nothing that special.

Clear yellow pour, white head, mostly dissipating. Very grainy in nose and flavor. Bread with a dry slightly alcohol finish. Light lacing. Quaffable.
