3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Phenomenal authentic Oktoberfest from Munich. Unlike American Oktoberfest beers this one pours clear pale yellow service in a 11.2 fluid oz bottle that is green so the skunking this is very apparent but when poured in the class the beer breed is the beer excels and you feel like you're in Germany. Found the bottles at Wines & more in Mansfield Massachusetts however Five Horses Tavern in the South End of Boston has this on tap. Cheers!

Rated from notes taken 2 Sep 2011 -- Tried at an Oktoberfest tasting, this was middle of the road compared to the others.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
07.10.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Big creamy longlasting head, very light color. Aroma is very mild, caramel malts, hay, nuts, grass, almond cake. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, hay, minerals, nuts, grass, toast. Little bitterness, slightly watery mouthfeel. Boring.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. I definitely love the balance of this beer. It’s very easy to drink, without being tasteless or insipid. Some sweet malt, a light biterness, some hay notes. A good sample of German quality beer!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
6 pack shared with brother. Aroma is earthy hop, caramel malt, and some cardboard. Pours light amber with nice carb and small head. Taste is earthy, cardboard, and slight pine up front with a sweet caramel and bread crust finish. Just sweet enough to keep this together but light enough to chugalug. Prost.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear pale gold pour with a 1 finger, super creamy white head that has great retention. Aroma is cereal, toast, bread, light nutty notes and floral and light fruity hops. Flavor is cereal, light sweet malt, light nutty notes, bread crust, light grain oils, a hint of skunkiness, grassy, spicy and floral hops, though definitely a little light on the hops. Light to medium body, creamy to oily entry, off dry, still slightly oily finish and light, blanketing carbonation. Good stuff, solid representation of the style, even this late in the season.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle at Ventnor. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor matched the aroma. Very full bodied, no noticeable bitterness. Not my favorite style, but this is certainly a good exemplar.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the LCBO. Completely transparent straw body with almost no head/lacing after a small white foam dissipates. Very pilsner-esque. Not much on the nose other than some malty notes of bread and cereal. Its got that nice hop bite, which is never overpowering or intrusive, that characterizes the style. Very sessionable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours autumn leaves yellow with a beautiful fluffy bleached white cap that sustains the ride all the way down the glass (how often does that happen?). First sniff & sip were horrid -- almost having me believing the acidic negative reviews below mine -- until I realized I need to wash my palate (hint hint very important, that imperial stout you just had was obliterating) & then I came to the conclusion you’re about to read: this brew is less ocktoberfest & more helles -- check that pilsner like finish. It’s pretty damn good if you dig deep into it. Just don’t mind the current craft beer hysteria -- German beers aren’t as bad as you rate them.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Here’s another superlative: this is one of the crappiest, most overrated, most disappointing beers in continental Europe. I never wanted to go to Oktoberfest. Here’s another reason not to.
