I too had a very difficult time finding this beer on the site. Nice golden colour to it with lots of hops in the nose and flavour. But, not to different or more special than other oktoberfests.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
While not amber like most of the Maerzen/Oktoberfest that most are used to, this is the beer served at the München Oktoberfest. This one has a nice hoppy bouquet, golden color and malty flavor. Bitterness is too high, overshadowing the malt. A drinkable beer, but not the best of the bunch, nor the best of the Fest.

Ok, this beer took me like 10 minuets to find on this site...it needs to be cross referenced under Hofbrau. This beer smells like skunk, and looks like a Miller light...not a good thing for a Oktoberfest. Humm...taste like a Michelob. Not even close to a respectable Oktoberfest.

This stuff was Oktoberfest "light". Weak, watery malt with some suspect hops thrown in. Pass it up!

Blond with a thin white head. Not much flavor. Slight honey flavors, but WAY too light.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
i'm glad to see this one has a fairly low rating, as it pretty much sucks...it's honestly hard to tell the difference between this and a lighter lager. basically LOOKS like a lighter lager...light golden color. people talk about some beers smelling like urine, well, this one really does...kind of a cardboard aroma. flavor is only slightly sweet..moreso in the finish...i'm really surprised at how disappointing this one is.

A very light Oktoberfest, probably the lightest version I've tried. Pours blonde, with a thin white head. Very light fruity aroma, and a sweet, malty flavor reminiscent of honey as the description attests to. Still, this is a bit too light for my preferences.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2004 Draft. Pours very well, with a foamy German type head. Has a nice roasted malt aspect to it, which actually calls to mind a well-made Vienna lager. In other words, this is a pretty okay beer. The texture and mouthfeel come across like a standard American "dark beer," which can get in the way of one's enjoyment.
2004 rating: Color is light as a Hamm's these days, which can also detract. They keep making them lighter in germany to match the lowest common denominator in drinker preferences...

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 1, 2004 Pours with a golden body with slight amber accents topped by a thick white head with good lacing. Sour slightly skunky aroma with grassy hop notes. Slightly sour yet slightly sweet flavor well balanced between malt and hops, leaning more towards the hop. The finish is slighlty bitter and hoppy. Light bodied and smooth with a fizzy carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweet, slightly sulfury and dusty nose, dark yellow color, big spongy head. Warm, round apple-like malt body with citrus tones (lemon). Light hop tingle throughout the mouth at the end that lingers. Full body, round mouth feel and very clean palate. Excellent. Classic.
