3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden amber color with a decent white head. Malt aroma is mild, no hops as expected.
Sweet malt flavor is good but lacks intensity. Finish is lacking. Overall this is an average Oktoberfest.

Bottled at the Whistlers Inn in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. OK OFest. Was a nice golden color. Had a slight cream taste to it that lingered through the whole beer. Little on the sweet side not enough on the malt side.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bought in the 12 oz bottle only says Hofbrau Oktoberfest..so I suppose it is the same beer.
Nice sweet malt aroma, with a tiouch of honey for some reason.
Pretty average in appearance for a Marzen a deep gold with a small white head...nice carbonation and lacing.
Flavour is a caramelly sweetness followed by a tangy bitter falavour.
Pretty nice and smooth on the palate.
Overall a nice Oktoberfest to drink in quantity..but no were near as good as Paulaner.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very light color with a minimal head. Aroma is slightly stale with some sweet malt. Tastes a little off- slight skunkiness? Malty and slightly sweet with a mild bitterness in the background. Somewhat harsh finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Only to be in Munchen for Oktoberfest... ah, someday. This one pours smooth and crisp. Has a slight sweetness that is matched by an infusion of hops. Good stuff. Ich lieb Deutschland!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours blonde, with a thin white head. Very light fruity aroma, and a sweet, malty flavor reminiscent of honey as the description states.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
2004, A green bottle. Skunky aroma. Flavor was sweet malt, not too bad, but with the typical heineken green bottle skunky lager presence that put me off.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rather a dissapointing Oktoberfest from Munich. It poured a deep amber color with a fairly decent white head and little carbonation. A sweet malty aroma with a taste to match, some caramel. Medium bodied. The hops say a brief hello in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 Bottle: The aroma is lightly sweet with some grassy notes and grain. It pours a transparent gold with a moderate white head with good retention and even a little lacing. Impressive looking for a pale lager, but not what I expect in the appearance of an Oktoberfest. The flavor starts with some pale lager sweetness. The finish has some light notes of caramel and grassy hops. The flavor is really that of a pale lager with just a hint of caramel in the finish. Light bodied with moderate soft carbonation. While it doesn’t make me think of an Oktoberfest, there is something about it that makes it somewhat appealing to me.
