COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Bottle- Sampled @ Siebel during the German style tasting- Clear golden color white head. Nose is DMS, vegetable-esque. Drinking is much nicer, sweet finish.

Gute Schaumkrone. Für meinen Geschmack ein bisschen zu mild. Schön Süffig. Es ist hopfenbetont und ein wenig malzig. Der Nachgeschmack ist leicht herb. Fazit: ok Test vom 4.9.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Pinball (8607) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 24, 2012
50 cl bottle from toft vin. clear golden yellow, gigantic smooth beige head. syruppy, very slightly citrussy, malty aroma. Aroma is a bit boozy, like an imperial lager. Flavor is smooth, easy drinking, slighlty sweet, good solid european bitterness in the aftertaste - Will do well with the dreadfull cusine germans eat, so suits its purpose very nicely.

Liked this - malty fusion of different grain flavours. No hop character but solid combination of malt flavours

Non existent hop foamy nose with a well held just covering the lid head. Consistently carbonated clean yellow body. Initially a tight hoppy taste, developing in dryness with a settled palate. Lacking in anything but an impressive level of drinkabillity for the ABV. (Bottle, The Pond, Leith)

Bottled, 0.5l. Pours clear golden color with huge white head and lively carbonation. Aroma of malt, banana, grassy hops and yeast, while some detergent notes also present. Sweet malty taste with very pleasant mouthfeel, followed by sour and dry finish and long hoppy aftertaste. Full body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Tastes good every month, not only in October...

Really good for a Oktoberfestier... not easy to find elsewhere even in Germany, so GO THERE!

A light-orangish ale that has a forthy white head. Not as refined but has the imperial hops and flavor that come with the autumn months.

11.2oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours golden with a thick, white head. Aroma of pale and caramel malts with a little bit of nuts and hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer.

On draught at NWAF, 2012. Bright gold pour with a beige head. Fruity nose. slightly unreadable notes (still using a pad and pen) I think I’ve put banana, pear, ’grassy’ looks like ’graggy’ and a mysterious word ’whicaf’ down for the taste (Christ I must’ve had a good night!). Fruity finish.
