The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

12 oz bottle poured in a stein. Pours a clear yellow gold with a finger of white head and ok lacing. Aroma is malts, bread, honey, and floral hops. Taste is malts, grains, mild hops, bread, and a little spice. Mouthfeel is thin and easy to drink in mass quantities. Decent Oktoberfest.

Bottle from old backlog notes 07. Pours a clear golden amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have grainy malts, mild toasted malts, earthy grass, a hint of citrus. Not a great example of an Octoberfest.

It has a golden clear body with some carbonation and a tall bright white head on top. The head is light and soapy so it settles quickly. As I drink it does make some lacing on the glass. The aroma is pale and biscuity with lots of dried leafy hop notes. Mostly I get the dry leafy hops with some very light pale biscuity maltiness with just a slight nutty character. The finish is dry with lots of leafy hop spice and mild nutty notes hanging onto the tongue of a bit.

Golden pale crystal color with high carbonation and white head. Herbal traces on the aroma. Malts, caramel and yeast are also present. Yasye is soft, with herbal and fruity notes.

Sat in the Magnet, Stockport. Good night, out with some good looking women, got really drunk, went to a belting beer festival under the arches later in Stockport. Pale clear blond with a thin white head. some spice, dust, hops and a decent malt character. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 Draft at 2013 Oktoberfest ZInzinnati. Nice golden hue, aroma 65% pale lager-like and 35% toasted malt, pleasing bittersweet flavor with bitterness a bit more pronounced than expected, nice long aftertaste. This may be the second best marzen I’ve ever had at Cincinnati’s Oktoberfest, with only the brilliantly golden Konig Ludwig Oktoberfest specially brought in several years ago being better. It’s a nice change of pace to have one of the golden hued oktoberfests instead of the usual amber ones.

Couleur blonde, bu directement a l’oktoberfest. Rien de particulier a dire de cette bière une bière typiquement allemande, qui se bois très bien mais rien de très original
