The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Sort of disappointed in this one, though it very well may have been because it was Memorial Day weekend, and this is an Oktoberfest. I loved the golden color and the thin head. The flavor was a bit bolder than I expecting with an aftertaste experience sort of like after a shot of whiskey. I am rating this, though conditionally.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear, golden yellow with a one finger, white head. Aroma has notes of grain, pilsner malt it smells like, and some slight fruityness. Taste is balanced. Grain, traditional German hops, and some pilsner mixed in. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a bit of a dry finish. Overall pretty traditional but that’s what I’d expect.

A clear yellow body with a fluffy, well-lasting head. Nose has sweet malty, hoppy and herbal aromas. Taste is sweet with a warming spice character and mildly bitter finish. Carbonation is on the lively side and the mouthfeel is quite rich. A nice rich easy-drinking beer.

Yellow, Nice white head. Smells biscuity, grassy, mildly sweet. Taste is grainy, toasty, with some lightly sweet notes. Crisp finish.

Fresh noble hop aroma. Clear light gold with nice white head. Hoppiest fest bier. Almost like an Imperial pils. Malty background. Dry hoppy finish.

In een pull van 1 liter op het oktoberfest. Erg toegankelijk en makkelijk weg te drinken.donker geel van kleur met een mooie schuimkop. Mooi balans tussen de ingrediënten.

1ltr mug during oktoberfest München. Golden colour. White tastefully head. First impression : watery, bubbles, little bitter, little sweet.

In a 1 liter HB stein/mug from First St Alehouse during Octoberfest. Pours dark gold with a white head that lingers (yes, the stein has space for the head). Not much smell (ok) but tastes of light bread, yeast, little hops, some sweetness on the malt. Nothing bad but nothing great about this one. More carbonated than most but very drinkable. And yes, I bought the stein for full of 1L of beer for $15 on "pint night".

Had a cup at Germantown OK to be rest. Good flavor but way too carbonated. Still not a fan of this polka music.

Itt a szeptember és így itt az oktoberfestbierek ideje, eme gyengéd egyeddel nyitottam a sörsort, bemelegítésképpen mindenképp hangulatteremtő volt.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours clear golden with a big creamy stable white head. Aroma of creamy malts, light cardboard.Taste is moderate sweet, white sugars with a light dry bitter honeyish finish, bordering cloying, too much sweetness for my likings.
