Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thick creamy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is corn malt and skunk. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt and light spice with nice bitter finish. Easy to drink a good Helles from Hofbrau.

Bottle. Clear golden liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of bread, light dms, biscuit, sweet malt and light sulphur. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of bread, corn and sweet malt. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. A bit too much of a pale lager than a helles.

On tap at Hofbräuhaus München. Grainy, some malty aromas. Pours bright gold with nice white head, persistent. Light ot medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is smooth, some sweet, bitterness developed from the first sip. Dry aftertaste. Extremely quaffable, but this may be influenced by this place´s atmosphere.

Cerveza dorado cristalino. De espuma blanca medio abundante. Sabor amargo y seco. Gaseada y refrescante.

In the modern beer world, there is still a place for beers that adhere to the German Purity Law of 1516. This is a good example of such beers. Crisp and clean with a full body. Prosit!

[500ml bottle] Brilliantly clear golden pour with an enormous white head. Aroma of soft, bready malt. On the flavour, more bready, malty cereal. Finish is clean and pretty crisp. Uncomplicated and extremely drinkable [27122012]

Draught @ Järnet. Pours golden with à white head. Malt dominanted. Graniy, bready. Grassy hops.

I had Hofbrau Original from a bottle. Color is amber with a nice scent. There was very little head when I poured in the glass. I really liked this beer! Taste is very smooth, with a little hoppy finish that makes it very pleasurable to drink. I highly recommend this beer.

Draught at Basel Christmas Market, November 2012. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head and some lace. Malt, vegetables aroma, tastes smooth, bitter and malty. Light body, fizzy, malty finish. OK.
