UPDATED: OCT 31, 2014 500ml bottle from Piligrim in Moscow. Pours gold with a frothy white head. Lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy and grassy. Light hop taste with medium bitterness. So good after so many Eastern European pale lagers.

(Bottle) I like this beer a lot. It’s on the bitter and hoppy side for its style, and has a strong bready malt aroma relative to its light body and color. I also can’t notice the alcohol in the aroma, which is a plus for me. Very refreshing. I notice this beer foams excessively if the bottle isn’t cold when it is opened. Interestingly, it doesn’t pour with much head though. The only thing I dislike about this beer is a faint sourness and a slightly metallic quality in the finish, but I find this metallic quality is typical of German beers, and this one is by no means the worst offender.

Piwo o zlocistym kolorze z wielka i trwala puszysta biala piana. Czyste, klarowne. W smaku slodowe lekko goryczkowe i ozezwiajace. Dosc lekkie i typowe dla stylu piwo.

Frothmeister (605) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2014
500ml bottle. Pale yellow with a one finger white head. Straw, light apple juice, light white bread notes on the nose. Medium bodied, and slightly sweet, with straw, light honey, and dusty malt notes that lead into lighter mineral focused hopping, and some woody notes in the light bitter finish. In no way exciting, but there’s nothing to complain about other than maybe a higher price than it should be.

Pours clear straw with two plus fingers of loose white head diminishing gradually to a thin cap, moderate patchy lacing (4/5). Nose is biscuity malt, grassy hops, and fruit (apple/grape) (6/10). Taste is mild to moderate sweet, mild to moderate bitter (5/10). Light body, moderate to low sustained carbonation, with an off-dry bitter finish (3/5). See, what I like most about this, is that it reminds me of being in the Hofbräuhaus München. With a beer as big as my head in one hand, and a pretzel as big as my head in the other. Listening to the oompah band. While my nine-month old dances on the table to the delight of the German patrons. Other than that, it’s a pretty standard Helles lager - fairly light in body and character, with no offensive adjunct flavourings. (12/20)

Aromat: słodowy, lekko chlebowy, ciastowy Wygląd: żółte z obfitą pianą, drobnopęcherzykową, średnio trwałą. Smak: średnio treściwe, zbożowe ciało, lekka karmelowość, całkiem słodkie, goryczka bardzo niska. Praktycznie niewyczuwalna.
