I had Hofbrau Original from a bottle. Color is amber with a nice scent. There was very little head when I poured in the glass. I really liked this beer! Taste is very smooth, with a little hoppy finish that makes it very pleasurable to drink. I highly recommend this beer.

Draught at Basel Christmas Market, November 2012. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head and some lace. Malt, vegetables aroma, tastes smooth, bitter and malty. Light body, fizzy, malty finish. OK.

Ein vollmundiges, malziges Bier mit ausgewogenem Charakter. Vielleicht etwas wenig Hopfen, aber immer absolut stimmig in sich. Ein Bier, dass zum trinken geradezu animiert. Slainte!

Very clear golden yellow with white foam head. Aroma is typical German beer, so is taste, nothing special, but great when you are thirsty. Short bittersweet aftertaste. (Baku 201211)

Clear golden with a 1/4" head cover and streaks of lace. The taste is almost watery to start, but fills in with light caramel malt and light bittering. Easy to drink, but not all that alluring. Much better than the big guys (Bud, etc), but not at the level of the best small regionals.

Pours light golden with a big head that quickly dissolves.
Citrus and sweet malt in the aroma.
Taste is mainly sweet malt, a little bit of bitter hops and some metallic notes.
Refreshing, but not much more.

Bottle. Pours clear pale gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is grain and pils malt with light, spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with a sweet finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Nice yellow color, perfect head... Nice mild hop taste and aftertaste... Very refreshing... Very good beer

Mycket ljus gul och klar. Ganska stort vitt skum som faller snabbt. Doft: Surdegs rågbröd, äpple, regnvatten. Smaken är tunn och maltig. Som om en brödskiva skulle ha legat i mitt glas om det från början bara varit fyllt med endast vatten.
