Bottle. Clear gold, no head.
Alarmingly sweet, vaguely fruity aroma.
Flavor like a standard pale lager, but reeeallly sweet. Slightly malty and grainy, but mostly just sweet. Aftertaste is short and... you guessed it, sweet!
Very surprising, and not really in a good way either. It has an original flavor, but after half a pint the sweetness just becomes too much for me.

Bottled. Pale golden in colour, almost no head. The aroma is malty with hints of grain. It doesn’t taste all thhat much and it was a big disappointment to me since I hade had Kristallweisse and Schwarz weisse prior to this one.I Won’t drink it again.

Pours golden in color with a thin white head. Aroma is of malts and hints of grains. Flavor is also of grains but there really isn’t much to it. No bitterness and not much of a finish. A very bland beer

Typical German style pils. Aroma is distinctly musty, flavor is dominated by grains. Fairly light bodied. Nice golden appearance with a nice head. This beer is a good accompaniment to Schnitzel or such, that’s what it is made for.

Very similar in quality to Pilsener Urquell. Golden yellow pour with a small head. Fresh, nearly fruity aroma that is hard to catch. Good amount of taste on the nose which quickly dies away into a dry watery feel. Not too much here, the mouthfeel is similar to carbonated water as this beer is very thin.

Tap. Pours clear light gold with a minimal white head. Metallic and sour malt aroma. The taste is just like a pilsener. Very easy to put down a lot of these.

Tastes like classic German Pilsener. Golden with white head and nice lacing. German hops, iron (German water taste) both in aroma an palate. Tiny bit of malt in palate gives way to a dry finish. A nice beer, nothing special, but good in its simple way.

This is what a Bud wants to be. It wants to look like this, and what an attractive beer it is. It also wants to taste like this. Crisp, clean, smooth, refreshing and then some. It struck me as a macro brew done right. There were no negatives to speak of in this beer. But the positives could have been stronger. Aroma was nice but thin, as was the taste. The beer felt great in the mouth, though, and I gave it a very high score on that. This is one to look for to spend an evening with. One was nice, 6 would be great!

Aroma is skunky, have no idea how old this bottle is. Flavor is quite nice though, sweet grain flavors balanced by nice spicy hop bitterness. Would like to have a fresh sample.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2006 Bottled. Pure golden pour with a respectably pillowy white head. Slight grainy aroma. Familiar lager taste with a pleasant bitterness and clear malty taste. Looks to be well-carbonated but sure doesn’t taste it. Boring and accessible, but clean, and representative of the style. Smooth/sweet finish with just a trace of that malty bitterness in the aftertaste. I could see this being a joy at the Hofbräuhaus - after the first.
