If you’re into lagers - this may not be the best. It’s best if you put it in the freezer for a few minutes. Good aftertaste.

Scopey (8452) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 30, 2015
Bottle from Fresh Fields Market, Croydon. It pours clear gold with a sturdy white head. The nose rather grassy, earth, doughy malts, cracker and cereal. The taste is crisp, light bitterness, touch of creamy malts, grass, cereal, underlying sweetness, light lemon peel and a touch of pepper. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Drinks pretty well. A solid example of the style.

Pretty fizzy, deep yellow. Head dissipates quickly. Grassy noble hop aroma, some malty sweetness as well. Not a lot of flavour, decent bitter touches. Crisp yet full bodied at the same time. Pretty good.

Light yellow-gold poured from bottle with ample frothy white head. Aroma of grass and noble hops, not overpowering, maybe some hay. Malty flavor with a hint of sweetness up front, bready midbody, and spicy noble hops at the end that are more dominant than I would have thought for a Helles. Light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation, slightly oily aftertaste. Overall nice lager, a standard for the class, though hops seem nearly as prominent as a Pils.
