Drinking this from my Arrogant Bastard glass that says, "fizzy yellow beer is for wussies." How ironic. Hofbräu München Original is a fizzy yellow beer. Here’s the verdict: it doesn’t pack a punch. Nothing stands out. Nothing about it makes me want to drink more. Smells like hay/bread. Small white head that turns into a fine ring around the glass. Doesn’t taste like much. Reminds me of Miller Lite but a bit thicker. "A Munich beer with character." I beg to differ. It’s a Munich beer, but it lacks character. I’ll probably finish the glass, but I won’t enjoy it very much.

Münchener helles from a classic Bavarian brewery, with thick, delicate, stable foam and clear golden blonde colour. Aroma of pale malts and flowery, soft aromatic hops, bit spicy, bit straw-like. Malty but not really sweet taste, smooth, becoming dryer towards the finish with a brief but zestful hop bitterishness in the tail.

Draught. Golden colour, large fluffy white head. Very bready and grain malt taste. Light bitterness. Refreshing.

Niet een hoogvlieger, beetje onbeholpen in de mond, wat waterig met zoetje, aroma is wat muf en afwaswater, nasmaak niet zo lekker.

A great tasting real German beer, from Munich. It’s always nice to taste a beer straight from the motherland.

Rather watery beer but with a bit of malt body to begin with. Finish and aftertaste leave you feeling a bit cheated on.

Clear appearance. Bright, soapy, golden. Grainy aroma. Refreshing. Good carbonation. Solid beer. Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 500ml. Clear pale golden with a frothy white head. Sweet corn aroma with hints of straw, spices and cardboard. Medium bodied, with high carbonation. Sweet and spicy, with a deep cereal malt character. Pleasant and drinkable.

Bottle, 500ml. A pale golden beer with a small white foamy head. Aroma is of canned corn, alcohol and some spices. Taste is bitter with a malty character. There is some carbonation and faint astringency. Maybe the end becomes slightly watery.
