En weissbier, men mörk! Ingen fantastisk upplevelse, men lättsam med en tydlig skumbananton.

The beers produced by Hofbrua tend to have much fame but not the best beers of Bavaria. I usually disappointing. This, without being fantastic, but I found the mediocre, like many of this producer. Style is probably one of my favorite German. Repeat.

Pours opaque dark brown from the bottle and leaves a rich, creamy head. Aroma is bread, banana, caramel. The malty, roasted flavors dominate the taste up front, while the finish trends yeasty. Some sourness. Overall mild and uneventful. Body is lighter than most dark Weizens. Okay.

brown very dark, almost black something shady. compact beige foam that leaves appreciable lace and slowly disappears. Smell, semi sweet toasted reminiscences and somewhat floral, with hints of yeast, bread and subtle banana. malty, sweet and roasted flavor, some soap and spicy with small hints of classic English porter. Some nut nuts type. Aftertaste very light but long, low bitterness and creamy. Very well balanced between yeast and malts.

Bottle from Trinkgut in Kleve or Goch, not for sure. The beer is dark amber colored and has a small stable head, with average carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity, with tones of caramel, bananas, roasted malts, yeast and some spices. The taste is light sweet and malty and the notes from the aroma are well noticable. The finish leaves a light bitterness and some notes of licorice and caramel.
