UPDATED: APR 7, 2003 Re-Rate: Bisquit and clove aroma. Cloudy brown, low head. Roasted, smoky malt and toffee notes. A bit watery finish, fresh. More roasted than all other dunkelweisse I had so far.

Almost clear, red-brown colour. Small, lacey head. Malty, sweet. Some banana. A bit watery. There are better dunkelweizens.

Una de las mejores cervezas de este tipo. Aunque puede llegar ha hacerse largo el medio litro de la botella

Coffee and pear flavor. Some banana. A little bit of dust in the aroma. Some yeast in the aftertaste.

Dense and enough adherent foam, discreet persistence. Dark brown, torbid and lightly somber. Discreetly bubbly. Moderate but pleasant scent. Caramel and wine cellar notes. Discreetly prickly and effervescent. Light and persistent finish.

Clear brown color, short lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, some rye, bit yeast and wheat. Crispy taste of caramel malt, wheat and some rye. Nicely balanced dunkelweizen, but it’s just not spectacular.

pivo (2592) - GERMANY - JAN 14, 2003
Toasted grain nose, clear brown color (odd for a wheat), and a frothy head. Toffee taste rule, almost no wheat character. Has a little charm to it, but it is not really wheat. I’ll take it if I have to.

CEZ (399) - Milano, ITALY - JUN 19, 2003
Brownish colour, cloudy with sediments. Malt and yeast in the aroma; just a trace of toasted grain and toffee aroma and taste. Flavour is pleasantly sour, but otherwise mild. Medium body; goes down easily.

Brown, cloudy. Nice flavourful wheat with hints of banana? Quite easy to drink and no strong sickening yeast taste.

Bottle. Light banan and clove. Some lightly toasty caramel sort of flavours happening, finish is quite crisp, and a little empty. Not the best dunkelweizen, but i’d take this over a lot of others i’ve had. Drinkable.
