Tap at Old German Beer Hall in Milwaukee. The beer pours to a deeper golden amber body with a nice whitish head. The aromas and flavors were pretty much marzipan, some deep bready characteristics, subtle alcohol, some yeasts. The palate was fairly clean and definitely robust. Good appearance marks for its setting in a litre stein, and the beer hall atmosphere of the bar. Medium dark brew with a fluffy tan head. Dark syrup and woody tones dominate the flavor and the aroma. Medium sweetness, just a wee bit of metal. Mouthy enough. A nice bitter finish. On tap, Panama City Beach Hofbräu.

Draught. Color dark orange with medium not lasting head. Aroma sweet, flower, honey. Taste honey, pear, sweet, alcohol. Great beer.

Very nice light golden hues, and poured with a frothy white head. Good head retention in the sample. Maltiness dominated the aroma, but there is a touch of booziness that sneaks in. Just a tad of hop bitterness as well. Sweet maltiness that dominates, but has some nice breadiness and fruitiness. Denser than the appearance suggests, but the body definitely supports the flavors and high abv very well. Sits well on the palate. Deceptively drinkable given the abv and overall delivery of the brew. Very warming, but at the same time very quaffable and refreshing.

tap, pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma is yeasty with lots of strong malty notes. Full bodied malty body with a peppery hop finish with alcohol notes.

Golden in color. Flavor is cloyingly sweet. Very malty. Not very bitter. I’m not a fan.

At Tap @ Rattle and HUMJ, NYC. This pours a pretty clear body - surprising for the alcohol content. Aroma is light. Taste is good, great smoothness considering the alc. A great heller.
