Starts a little bitter but improves dramatically as you drink it. Not my favorite beer available at Estabrook Park.

1L pour at Cafe Berlin in Washington DC. Comes out a hazy orange with some frothy, lacing, white head. Nose is standard, yeast, some dough, some orange, lightly floral, a little biscuit. Flavor is lightly fruit, some dough, some yeast, some orange. Dry finish. Maybe the tap pour helped this, but it was quite nice.

Three Beersissa. Enjoyable, quite easy and light beer. Nothing to remember, nothing disturbing.

Aroma: Light fruity esters that i’d describe as grape/jam; a bit of toast, some grass. Appearance: Hazy copper/light amber pour with a foamy white head that settles into a thick skin. Flavor: Toast with light grape preserves; grassy throughout but moreso toward the finish. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Very nice in all respects; a well made beer.

Bottle. Pale orange-yellow, hazy, small white head. Light citrus and grass in the aroma, also a bit basement. Taste is bitter and light sour. Watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Malty aftertaste.

(Keg at Black Door, 20140702) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, grassy and bitter. A decent kellerbier.

On tap poured into a dimpled mug. A mild aroma of grass and barnyard hit the nose upon first whiffs. It’s a golden yellow, pale, slightly hazy beer with a big whipped-egg white head. The head recedes slowly and lingers for the entire drink while leaving lots of webby lace. It’s a medium light sweet taste, with a medium light bitter presence. It’s a watery textured beer with tons of creamy carbonation. The body is on the higher side of light and it finishes with a bread flavor and a touch of lemon and spice. It’s dry, crisp, and refreshing. The aftertaste is mostly lemon and grass, but it doesn’t last long.
