pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, - MAY 20, 2005
Bottle: Orange coloured, medium-sized off-white fluffy head, lasting, cloudy; fruity (citrus, grains) and yeasty nose with a tinge of herbal hoppiness and some bready notes; fizzy, but very smooth; starts sweet and fruity; light yeasty body, mild bitter-fruity aftertaste. O.K., quaffable; should not be mixed up with a Weizen, some qualities are similar........

edpeg (505) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 19, 2012
Pours amber yellow unfiltered cloudy body with white creamy lacing head. Aromas are hops, sweet malts, grains and grass. Palate is medium-bodied watery, with medium lively carbonation and mouthfeel. TAste is refreshing, dry and hoppy. Aftertaste somewhat malty and rounds up in a dry floral hops flavours. Balanced Landbier with good amount of fresh hops and dryness. Quite good.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($6): Pours a cloudy orange/yellow with a white head. Aroma is pretty typical of the style: vegetable, German hops, and a light malt backbone. Taste is hardcore lager taste all throughout. Nice hoppiness is present. Good malts. Good balance. This is a brew I was quite happy to have. Simple, but well-crafted.

Clear yellow pour with a small white head. Floral citrus notes, light carapils, herbal dough, and lemon notes lead to a light body with a moderately clean finish. A bit too doughy in the finish, lacking that nice crispness I enjoy out of this style.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy orange with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is meal and cereal malt and a clean lager character. Flavor is malt forward with light hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Light body, warmth and carbonation.

Its name gives it, it’s for summer, and it has to be really cold, as if it was to hide the flavour... whatever...

Grima (1574) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - NOV 16, 2011
The beer in the glass is bright orange-yellow with a nice fine-pored head. The beer smells yeasty and fruity, slightly citrusy, with some flavor of hops. It starts very mildly hoppy, with strong fruity aromas and sweet yeast-fermented notes. The middle part shows yeasty-sweet, slightly fruity, with good hop flavors and some grains. Goes to a hoppy, yeasty-sweet and grainy finish!

Pours a thick and cloudy amber color. Has a taste of toast and very little oxygen. Too bitter for the taste of a Hofbrau in my opinion. I was slightly led down.
