3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml Brown Bottle: Pours a hazy yellow with a huge, rocky head that lasts... Aromas of fruit- typical weizen aromas, if a bit subdued. The flavor is mild, with the typical flavors of the style. Not bad... having said that I think this is very underrated, and while not the best I’m not sure why it is so poorly rated.

Wow, really bad example of the style. Not much on the nose. Light yellow. At the end I got some notes of banana, clove, and hef yeast. This must be some sort of macro hef.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: cloudy light yellow, with the yeast sediment floating in the top half, and a short, quickly vanishing white soapy head. Aroma: light banana and citrus, surprisingly peppery/grassy hops, mineral water, and crackery malts. Taste: saltine crackers, floral and grassy hop bite, lemon zest, banana, hint of clove. Finish: fades quickly, slightly watery palate. Notes: Surprisingly pilsner-like characteristics in the aroma and taste. Not terrible, but far from the best examples of the style.

Draft at Hofbrau Bier Hall - Munich. Pours clearish gold with a big, tight white froth head. Light dusty wheat on the nose with hay, yeast and lemon. Very simple but tasty weisse. Light to medium sweet with dry wheat, light citrus, further lemon, bubblegum, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, lightly sweet, with yeast, dry wheat, white bread, light close. Very drinkable if a bit basic.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a pretty sizable white fluffy head. Aroma was wheat grains, sweet malts, bready yeast character. Lemon notes along with the bready yeast provide a nice, completely German experience, with a pretty clean finish. Spice (clove) notes not too overpowering thankfully.

This is my first time trying a Hefeweizen. I was pleasantly surprised by it. It poured a cloudy light gold color with a thick white head. to me the aroma was reminiscent of citrus and vanilla which is a bit of an odd combination, but not unpleasant. The beer is full bodied but not heavy. It almost seems to have a texture to it. It makes me think of eating a dried apricot even though it tastes nothing like that. it tastes of a light wheat malt and mild orange. The hops are very indistinct; probably balanced out from the sweet flavors. I found this beer to be interesting and enjoyable. I can definitely see myself drinking this again.

O- Great hefe! One of the best I have had. Super good citrus tones and the right amount of wheat. Not a lot of banana or bubblegum tones. A very good beer.

Bamberg Bash, Day 1. Train bottle swig. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and dry. Mild minerals. Airy dry malt. Little spice and somewhat insipid banana ester. Dry finish. Bit meh!
