Cerbier (220) - - JAN 26, 2014
0,5l Flasche. Goldenes Bier mit stabiler heller Schaumkrone. Brotige, malzige und leicht grasige Noten kommen durch. Es überwiegt aber das süßmalzige, was das ganze etwas unrund wirken lässt.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light bread. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some caramel and light bread with faint hoppyness. Sweetish märzen with caramel – that’s it.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy aroma with a honey touch and cautious bitter hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet pale and caramel malty, a touch of honey, dry, minimally strawy hoppy overtones. Somehow not completely balanced and directing towards having a head tomorrow.

500 ml bottle. L1. BB 8/13. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear deep golden colour with a big foamy white head. The aroma is very typical for a Märzen. Lot of maltiness, some sweetness, pencil, woody dryness and a hint of fruitiness. The flavour ain’t that bad. It’s very balanced. There’s spices, some caramel sweetness, malt, some mild saltiness and lots of dryness. Even though I don’t usually dig the Märzens this is quite nice. Very balanced indeed. Weak bitterness in the aftertaste.

Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JUN 16, 2013
50cl bottle from somewhere in Salzburg. Pours a crystal clear, pale gold colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened, somewhat bready pils malts with a few fruit notes, some grass, and grain. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened, somewhat bready and grainy pils malts with a light grassiness throughout and touches of fruit. Finishes dry and somewhat bitter before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium-light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent beer. Nothing special, but no off flavors. Not bad.
