Bottle. The sweet smell of brown sugar, later also some grass. The white milky head is large with a normal duration, the body is pale yellow. The taste is rather bitter and light medical. The body is light, creamy and light watery with a normal carbonation.

No yeast at the bottom. Light golden colour with a fizzy head. Malty aroma with a hoppy finish also in the flavour. Ends up bitter and dry, a very classic german pilsener.

Bierkrug (1666) - Idar-Oberstein (In East Africa), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAY 16, 2011
330 ml flip-top bottle at home in Germany, thanks to shrubber85. Pours a yellow color with a soft lasting white head. Aroma is grain, hops and some malty sweetness. Taste is a strong bitter and some medical taste. Palate settles down ofter the rocky taste to a boring flat salted cardboard. Bellow average.

Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2008
previously tested on German BTO 04/2007: Hübsche, grüne Flasche. Toller Schaum, sehr sahnig und lange haltbar. Hopfig herb, ziemlich herb.

Bottle: Golden, mid-sized, slowly collapsing head; pale-malty and grassy-hoppy nose with very faint traces of noble hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; short sweet-bitter finish. Better than a Macro-Pils, but not very good...........
