Pours bright orange-gold with a thin off-white head. Notes of thick toffee, caramelized wort, Munich malt, sweet doughy malt. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. A nice lager, not too sweet like many stronger lagers.

Draft at Newport brewpub. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate light hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good drinkable beer.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2012 On tap in Newport. This bock is a stronger version of their traditional lager. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. A very tasty Munich style lager with the extra oomph of a higher ABV. Smooth. Sweet taste of pale malts and slight hoppiness along with some spicy characteristics. Alcohol somewhat noticable, but not offensive. Very enjoyable.
