2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On draft at Hofbrau. Looks fine; a translucent orange with lots of head. Smells slightly bitter. Tastes like a Belgian pilsner, which isn’t a good thing. Not pilsy on the palate either. Miss.

Unfortunately I didn’t take down good tasting notes beyond the numbers for this one!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the Newport facility. Bright golden color with a decent white head that diminishes but stays. Bready, grassy aroma. Taste is crisp and hoppy with a malty sweetness that is well balanced. Not a whole lot of difference from their year-round Munich style lager, but perhaps slightly more assertive.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at brewpub. Clear amber color with medium rocky white head. Medium well balanced aroma of malt and hops. Light body. Flavor was also well balnced and pleasing with a smooth finish. Good summer brew.
