on tap-pours a white head with trailing lace and clear/pale yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain/corn. Taste is sweet grain/corn, secondary spice hops. Nice for a light.

On tap: it doesn’t do much for me with aromas, but it suprisingly has some good flavors going in with some grassy notes. Tasty, but they have much better available.

Lite? Not a Miller product! And listed "Light" at the brauhaus. Anyway, not much love for this one from RB so far. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a small white head in my gigantic dimpled glass mug. The aroma is pretty faint, with some pale malts, grass, and cracker notes. The flavor, however, is nice- straw, pale malts, crackers, and a little bit of a grassy hop note but really subtle. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and medium-high carbonation. Pretty solid.

Pale yellow with creamy white head and lace. Very light malt and paper on the aroma. Light semi-sweet malt and some surprising bitter. Thin and watery. Decent beer for the style.

On tap at Hofbrauhaus Newport, March 2010. Just what you would expect. A lighter version of the lager. Both in colour and flavour. Not really a lot else to say. Inoffensive if bland.

Unfortunately I didn’t take down good tasting notes beyond the numbers for this one!

The house light beer. Sampled just to see how light it really was. Well, it was really light.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20 CaptBier (322) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - MAY 1, 2008
Draft at Newport. What can I say, its a light. Its like if Coors light was a German brewery.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 3fourths (6409) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2006
Draught at the brewery. Very pale yelllow color, watery appearance overall. Has a terrible corn and spoiled celery aroma. Also has a bad buttery sour vegetable flavor with a fizzy texture. Bad overall, not much more I can say about this one. The sour aftertaste is especially terrible.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 SpringsLicker (2547) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 20, 2006
I suppose they feel they HAVE to brew something like this, but what a waste of water. Appearance is hazy, dilute yellow with very little head. Little to no malt or hops in the aroma with a flavor that follows the aroma. I got this in the sampler, but the Helles is pretty light, and should do in a pinch for a "lite beer" lover. If you order the sampler, just skip this one or have them bring two of one of the others (unless you just have to rate light beers).
