Identical to the one in Pittsburgh. On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is crisp hops, light body, medium carbonation, and thick big bubble lacing. Taste is light malt and crisp hops. Not that much flavor.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a clear gold with a white head of foam. Crisp, grassy aroma. Some crackers. Sweet and grassy taste. Light body and medium carbonation.

on tap @ Hofbrauhaus Newport --- Clear straw color with a thin rim head, and a mottled sheet of lace. Taste is light malt that grows a little as it passes through; adds light floral hops in the finish. A simple brew, but somehow, satisfying.

Draft to mug at Hofbrauhaus. Looks decent; a transparent gold with white head. Smells and tastes lightly bitter and pleasantly skunky with an average mouthfeel. A decent lager.

white fine-poured foam sparkles? gimme a freakin’ break bro. White fine-poured foam sparkles quietly before you and forms a solid uniform layer on top of the light golden brew. You can smell the malt, hops and yeast which are subtly coordinated- and after repeated sniffing you will also discover the flowery fragrance. The impression is easy to retain, and that makes it the Original, Full-bodied, yet not too robust. Always well escorted by a truly fine hops aroma, in no way bitter, but also not just malty.

Sweet malts aroma. Not very strong. Mouldy malt flavour. Very watered down texture.

On tap at the brewpub in Newport.... Asked for a liter, expected that classic glass mug, got a plastic cup! It’s a bigger plastic cup, but no way it was the same size as the liter, and of course, it was freakin’ plastic. They said something about not doing glasses anymore on the weekends for the outside area, what the hell? As much as I wanted to rag on this beer, I have to admit it’s decent stuff, albeit way overpriced, at $8.75. Probably a clearish amber gold color, good creamy white head leaving good sheety lace. Very nice lighter and smooth and crisp carbonation, dry finishg, good light hops through the finish. Straw, white bread aroma. Like a typical higher-quality premium lager.
