On draft at the Hofbrau. Pours a deep amber color with a full white head that diminishes with time but still rings the glass somewhat. Pleasant spice aroma. Taste is all roasted caramely malt. Quite good, but no real discernable difference when compared to the Marzen.

Draft at Brewpub: This is the Christmas Ale -- pours a pale orange with a very sweet smell. It was almost like a spicy cider with a malty finish and no real hop presence. In a word: allspice.

Draft at brewpub. Pours a dark amber with an average creamy white head that diminished quickly and produced light lacing. Good balanced aroma. Medium body. Full well balanced flavor with a small bitter finish of average duration.
