COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Specialty which is born in Munich and brewed in Pittsburgh. This beer is loved by the world. Rich fairly sweet old style wheat beer. The taste is a wonderful combination of banana and clove.

Draft sample at the source. The beer is a hazy yellow with a white head of foam. I get a bit of banana and some whipped cream in the aroma. Subtly sweet. Bready. Light body and low carbonation.

Pours a cloudy hazy golden amber with a big foamy white head. Nice aroma of wheat, banana, and cloves. Crisp and refreshing. Nice banana and clove taste. Typical style Hefeweizen. Very enjoyable.

Draft on 04/29/16. Served in a 1L dimpled mug. Arrived at the table a hazy gold color with a thick off-white head. The pleasant aroma featured some bananas, cloves, bubblegum, sweet wheaty grains, and a touch of citrus. Went down thin to medium-bodied. The taste started with a sizable grainy presence. A little caramel, bananas, bubblegum, and some citrus fruits followed. Nicely spiced throughout. A solid example of the style. Dangerously drinkable.

Really like this style of beer and neat to have one of the original recipes. Served in tall wheat glass. Goes down easy.

A: Hazy Orange Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head, Some Lacing S: Banana, Wheat T: Banana, Wheat, Mild Oranges M: Decent Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Semi Sweet Overall, compared to their Weizenbock, it is not as bright with the flavors but still a great hefeweizen.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of banana, clove, bubblegum, bready malt. Flavor of sweet malt, bubblegum, peppery spices, clove. Perhaps a bit spiced, otherwise your standard hefe. 6/4/6/4/13 (3.3/5)

Draught @ Brewhouse: This one poured a cloudy to opaque straw yellow color. There was a large white head on it. It left a good amount of lacing. The nose was nice, but a little light. There was wheat, clove and a hint of lemon. The taste is good. Wheat, clove, a touch of banana and citrus. Decent body. A solid hefe.
