3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
06/03 Draught at Lindenbrau am Potsdammerplatz, Berlin. It poured slightly hazy pale yellow body with smaller head. Lemony and slightly sweetish malty aroma. Yeasty and malty flavor, sweetish honey, biscuit and some herbal hop. Full bodied, which is really strange for the style, but definitely a plus. Still, it’s very refreshing with fine malt profile extending into long finish showing some kind of slight hop bitterness. Very good zwickl.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample stolen from a travelmate (big thanks Zarko!), at the Lindenbräu. Poured a hazy pale yellow body, lemony, with a medium sized white head. Lemony, slightly sweetish and malty nose. Odd but nice enough taste, sweaty yeastiness, grain, light lemon. Aah, ok.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
300ml vom Fass at the Lindenbräu pub in Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz. Unfiltered beer served at a fine drinking temperature. Cloudy yellow body, no head to speak of, however, spotty lacework on the glass. Aroma of malt and wheat. Fresh, mild citrus fruits in flavour with a ditto mild, dry bitterness to the finish. Dry and soft in the mouth. Easy to quaff (Berlin, 21.11.2009).

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft somewhere in the Traunstein region. Hazy golden coloured, small but lasting head. Malty nose, citric notes, a bit grassy. Hopbitter flavour, very pleasant. Very easy to drink beer, very well suited for those 0.5 or 1 liter glasses that one finds everywhere here in Bavaria.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy straw colour. Fairly bready but pretty tasty. Some slightly herbaceous (nettles?), citric hoppy notes in the flavour. Mouthfeel is mellow and could be a touch firmer. Overall, clean, pleasant and well made. I tend to prefer a crisper, dryer lager but this softer specimen hit the spot just fine.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught, presented as HBH Traunstein Kellerbier Huge, white head, clear metallic-golden beer; Fresh grassy notes, with quite some hoppy streaks. Again quite grassy flavourwise, with a near even balance between malts and hops, making it quite neutral. Ends a bit sweetish. Quite carbonated, spritzy. Retronasal near sticky malts. Light to medium bodied. Reasonable Kellerbier, cleared out by obviously good lagering.
