"The beer with the harmonious and real Lager character. Due to the long storing time this beer is a quality product and one of the most popular in the Chiemgau area." Formerly known as Fürstenquell Export-Hell or just "Helles".

The bottle looks good, but the cap reminds me of a cheap beer. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts malty and spicy, quite strong for a helles, a bit sourish. Finish more spicy, a little bit grasy. Quite drinkable and not bad!

On tap at Lindenbrau in Berlin. Pours golden in color with a trim white head. Smells of orange citrus and cream. Tastes of puttered popcorn and chewy caramel. Odd.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 Bottle. Pale blonde. Malty flowery aroma and flavor with hints of apple and boiled milk. Clean mouthfeel. Typical Bavarian helles. The emphasis is on drinkablility. Tap @ Fischerwirt Ruhpolding-Grashof. Pale blonde. Slightly soapy aroma. Malty bready flavor with hints of floral hops lingering on in the aftertaste. Medium bodied at least.

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, small foamy layer, visible carbonation; grainy nose with some very faint citrousy undertones; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short pale-malty and citrousy finish with a tinge of hops. Drinkable but boring........

500ml bottle labelled as Traunstein Helles Export Hell. 5.3%. Poured light yellow with a two finger white head. Floral and perfumey aroma initially turning into a moderate herbal hop aroma. Light cardboard. Flavor is quite hoppy with herbs and some cardboard. Bitter finish. A touch of metal. Full flavored. Pretty good.

Yellow colored, little white head. Slightly hazy appearance. Aroma is nicely hopped with lemony tone. Medium bodied. Flavor is richer and better with nice hops and lemon, crispy, still soft palate.
