"The beer with the harmonious and real Lager character. Due to the long storing time this beer is a quality product and one of the most popular in the Chiemgau area." Formerly known as Fürstenquell Export-Hell or just "Helles".

On tap. Pale yellow beer a little hazed with small but lacing head. This one rely most on the fruity notes (peach) than malts. Sweet with a light hoppy bitterness in the finish. Light body, creamy texture, lively carbonation.

Sample glass @ Hopfingerbräu am Palais near Brandenburger Tor, Berlin. Slightly hazy pale yellow body with a small white head. Nose is pale malts and sugar with hints of dry hops. Taste is pale malts again, sugary corn notes and hints of dusty hops. Not too impressive and pretty dull, but relatively well brewed and quite drinkable.

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

bottle from biershop-bayern.de. Clear golden yellow, large white head, quite creamy. Nice hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, solid malty background with rather intensive citrusy and herbal hop flavours. Quite hop-accented for being a Helles, which is really nice. An interesting example of the style.

Draft: Grainy corn nose. Milky yellow, headless. Grainy lemon with a honey finish. If you like a grainy lager, this one’s for you. Decent.

Tap @ Lindenbräu Bar, Berlin. Pours a pale yellow body with a fingersized white head. Nose is somewhat fruity with grains, malts and faint hops. Medium+ carbonated and medium-bodied. Tastes first quite sweet but is nicely balanced by the grassy-bitter hops. OK but nothing more.
