bottle from biershop-bayern.de. Clear golden yellow, large white head, quite creamy. Nice hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, solid malty background with rather intensive citrusy and herbal hop flavours. Quite hop-accented for being a Helles, which is really nice. An interesting example of the style.

Bottle courtesy of Tarjei. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity with grain and hint of spices. Flavor is soft, light malty with some fruit and moderate bitterness. Soft mouth feel and medium aftertaste. OK but rather ordinary.

On tap @ Holiday Inn, Central Munich. Pours light golden with gentle bubbles and a proportionate head. The nose is lightly malty with a delicate citrus note. The taste has a big citrus zing against a malty profile. The palate light to medium bodied with a light texture and a clean finish. Overall, a decent lager.

Sample glass @ Hopfingerbräu am Palais near Brandenburger Tor, Berlin. Slightly hazy pale yellow body with a small white head. Nose is pale malts and sugar with hints of dry hops. Taste is pale malts again, sugary corn notes and hints of dusty hops. Not too impressive and pretty dull, but relatively well brewed and quite drinkable.

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

Tap @ Lindenbräu Bar, Berlin. Pours a pale yellow body with a fingersized white head. Nose is somewhat fruity with grains, malts and faint hops. Medium+ carbonated and medium-bodied. Tastes first quite sweet but is nicely balanced by the grassy-bitter hops. OK but nothing more.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2011 Bottle courtesy of Bierkrug and shared with the wife. Pours light gold with thin white head and minimal lacing. Carbonation is soft. Aromas of bread, yeast, in the nose. Flavors are breads and yeasts from the initial sip, linear, slightly sweet up front. Aftertaste is dry.
