Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Pils is fresh and sparkling with a light slim body. Brewed with exclusively the best Hallertau aroma hops which brings a gorgeous, young and sassy bitterness.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2016 Tap at Zum Schneider, Montauk. I believe I’m rating the right beer here. Could also be the bitburger pils since it was kind of ambiguous on the flight. But let’s assume it’s the right beer. Pours very light yellow, white head. Aroma is light lemon, pilsner malt. Simple but decent. Flavor is the same. Not much to say about it frankly.

Flasche in der Matilda-Bar Berlin. Intensives Pils, voller Körper, bitterer Abgang. Nicht schlecht!

330 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Pale lemon yellow colour; Half finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with very slight carbonation; Pungent smell of lager malt, with slightly choking floral, grains, strong molasses, thick bread, yeast, light lemon and grass; Close to medium sweet taste of lager malt, with light grains, floral, light molasses, strong bread, biscuits, yeast, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and grass; Close to light body. Thin, dry and fairly crisp palate; Mouth feel is pretty malty, more lager than a Pils, in a pretty thin and dry background. Strong floral, fairly grainy, very biscuity. Neat sweetness to balance the very lemony hops. Pretty nice!... Hoppiness is floral, lemon and grass in nose, and a lot stronger in taste. Bitterness is strong , dynamic and tasty for a lasting, fairly high astringent sweet bitter finish; Dry after taste, Crisp and quite bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one feels like somewhere between a Premium Lager and a Pilsener, due to its rather light body and thin palate, but make no mistake it has a malty and rather wholesome backbone, and being topped with a lively hoppiness. A good one among the average German Pils, easy and drinkable.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a thick foamy white head...lively...nice lacing and retention. Aroma is very subdued but has mild straw and noble hoppy spice. Flavor is significantly hoppy with spice and earthy/grassy notes...mildly minerally. Mouthfeel is medium and lively...a little slick...Finish is dry and earthy/grassy/almost resinous.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Had this at Hopfingerbrau, Mitte, Berlin, Germany Sunday 17th November 2013 Clear gold, busy carbonation. Decent enough refreshing pils, touch metallicy in mouth leaving a tinny bitterness. It lacks sweetness which is good. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Prendo una media alla spina di questa birra per mandar giù un bel panino farcito e dopo il terzo, quarto sorso mi dico: era meglio l’acqua...

Tap @ Ortnerhof Ruhpolding. Pale blonde. Malty bready flavor. Well hopped with grassy hops. Medium bodied. No specific aroma. Not bad.
