MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany May 10, 2008 (bottle) Hazy, murky brown, almost black colour with a fluffy, light beige head. Dusty, sweet and a bit sourish toast-malty nose with notes of caramel, marzipan and diacetyl. Light bitter flavour with a tinge of acidity, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty taste with burnt caramel; roasty, bitter-sweet finish with a tinge of sourness, although it is a fresh sample (08.05.08).

Drinkable Dunkel, nothing worth a journey............... yespr (6361), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 2, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a lacing white head. Spiced malty aroma. Flavour is dry breadish, light spiced. Goes into a rather dry finish. Minor liqourice touch into the finish. Finn (1083), Tromsø, Norway Jan 17, 2008 0,5 vom fass at Angi’s Ingolstadt 23 Jun 07. Dark brown with a fluffy tanned head. Modest malty aroma. Good-looking but difficult to see - served in a krug! Unvaried flavor of sweet malt. Dry bitter finish with fruity hints.
