Allen (2689) - SWITZERLAND - APR 2, 2012
Bottled 33cl. Clear, paler than the average doppelbock with a decent light beige head. Inviting aroma which is reminiscent of crackers, demerara, faint banana, melon, glue, spicy hops, vanilla, caramel and alcohol. Full bodied. Good bitterness. Dryish finish. Plenty of character.

EithCubes (4233) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 5, 2012
Bottle by 29.06.12. Nose exploding with dark malt, plummy with berries and grape, caramel. Reddish with orange hues, dark but clear with a tan head. Heavily malty taste, very fruity and clean, bitter and not too sweet, a dry and hoppy aftertaste with some resin. Sticky lips and mm, darker and bitterer than most DBs. Full body with too much booze showing. Dictionary definition of style, if a little raspy and very adult, and well-made and repeatable.
