3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hey, JG, dig the Perle! Stubby bottle by 03.02.12. Rich malty nose, dusty with light citrus and grass. Clear, very pale golden body with a white head. Taste is lightly bitter with a great bready malt. Short sharp pangs of acidity, consistent carbonation makes the medium body seem full. Citrus there, in low dose, and there’s a hint of grain and caramel underneath it all. Good lager quality but the malt taste is a little thin. On the other hand, was hoping for a little more hoppiness here (though it does have a nice bite), but on the whole, a decent Dortmunder/Export.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It’s yellow-golden with a creamy, white head, and the aroma has initially notes of vegetables, but later it disappears leaving straw and bread. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of bread, flower, straw and the finish is dry – quite charming.

Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Hayish nose. Golden, fine carbonation, off-white head. After the bland aroma surprisingly wellbalanced flavor - grain, light aromatic hops. Rapeseed retronasal. Medium body, chewy, wellagered - slightly sticky too though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(33cl bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a massive foamy white head. Fresh herbal hoppy aroma with mild malty, slightly grainy accents. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a pleasantly soft carbonation and a well-matured mouthfeel. Rounded pale malty taste and moderate herbal hoppy notes, leading into a medium-dry malt-accented and slightly hoppy finish. Another fine brew by Hofmann, smells like a Pils but tastes like an Export (09.VI.09).
